Ranges and Training Support Center

TSC – Training Support Center. This 49,000 SF training and storage facility will be constructed in the main cantonment area of Ft. AP Hill. The project includes a distribution center for training aids and appliances as well as repair and storage shops for the training kits. In the classroom area, four 24-person classrooms are equipped for live-action incident training with full-screen real time capability. Size: Admin/Classrooms – 19,000 SF; Warehouse – 30,000 SF
Cost: $9.2M. The Knight Architects team is currently taking this project to 100% design with team members PB Americas and Allsbrook/Goodman Inc.

IPBC – Infantry Platoon Battle Course. This 700-acre training range is based on the standard IPBC training course. The course includes a Small Arms Range Operations and Control Area (SROCA) as well as multiple stationary and movable target emplacements. The SROCA includes 4100 SF of enclosed space in seven buildings. The entire project has a PA of $5.1M. The Knight Architects team is currently taking this project to 100% design with team members PB Americas and Allsbrook/Goodman Inc.

EOD – Explosive Ordnance Disposal Field Training Area. This 2000-Acre training range will be the new location for the primary EOD Field Training course; the current facility is at McKinley Range, Redstone Arsenal, AL
